Brazilians of Taverna started a crowdfunding campaign for a tour in the United States and Canada, as well as for the recording of their debut album.

Taverna is a Celtic and medieval folk music band with five years existence. Five people united to make music that transports the audience to a fantastic universe of Kings, fairies and castles.

They have played in several cities in Brazil, sharing the stage with big names such as Faun (Germany), Tuatha de Danann and Shaman (Brazil). At this moment the band is getting ready to produce their first album.

Membros

  • Mariana Roque (vocals)
  • Rômulo Salobreña (viola, violin)
  • Rafael Salobreña (bodhrán, percussion)
  • João Gabriel (flutes, mandolin, bagpipe)
  • Gustavo Fofão (classical guitar)

The campaign

In 2018, the Taverna was approved at the Edital Música Minas contest to play at a Renaissance fair in the USA. As a result, they received an invitation to tour the country for a month! Because of this, they decided to start a crowdfunding campaign to make the trip possible, to support the expenses of the stay during the tour, the production of the album and, in return, the thematic rewards for those who contribute to the project.
