The French Nordic folk band Skáld announced the reissue of the album Vikings Chant featuring new songs.

The new edition will have the subtitle Alfar Fagrahvél (“fair wheel of the elves”, a reference to the Sun in the poem Alvíssmál of the Poetic Edda).

It will be released on September 20 and will serve as an aperitif while the group works on the songs for the second album. There will be two new songs in old Nordic and three covers carrying the Nordic spirit. In Vikings Chant there is already a cover version of Jóga, a song by the Icelandic singer Björk.
