Illuriah, the Brazilian one-man project of Nordic folk musician Igor Gartzea released its second album on September 3rd, 2021 on the major digital platforms. Now, Vágsmál finally received a physical edition through Trajano Records.
Vágsmál (poetic meaning: “Sea of tales”) features 11 “skaldic-style” tracks touching both the dark and the light sides of Nordic folk music. The cover of the CD is adorned with a beautiful artwork by the talented artist Runar, who has also worked with other bands from the scene, such as Hindarfjall. The painting was inspired by Hans Dahl’s Badande Nymfer.
You can order the CD directly from the band.
