Myrkur released a music video for Leaves of Yggdrasil, which will be on the third album of Danish singer and instrumentalist Amalie Bruun‘s project.
Folkesange, Myrkur’s new work will be the first to embrace the folk genre, after two black metal albums. The aim of the release is to dive deep into the heart of Scandinavian culture, combining old and new songs inspired by ancestral memories and Norse mythology.
Instruments such as the nyckelharpa, the lyre and the mandola will set the tone for the album, which be produced by Heilung‘s Christopher Juul.
Folkesange will feature twelve tracks, will be released by Relapse Records on March 20 on CD and vinyl and is available for pre-order.
