Ursprung, the Nordic folk project of Swedish musician Andreas Axelsson, released its new album, Rúnar Munt þú Finna (Runes You Shall Find).
The album is the first one of a trilogy focused on the Elder Futhark rune poems or “the sound of the runes”. Andreas talked a bit about the ideas behind the new trilogy.
“All these runes have their own specific meanings and I’ve tried to capture their essence through sounds of nature and instruments relevant to the time of their creation.”
Rúnar Munt þú Finna has 9 tracks and features vocals by Sigurboði Grétarsson, Will Hunter (Vévaki) and Linnea Engman.
