We made a selection of some cover versions of metal, rock and other musical styles songs performed by different artists of folk and medieval music!

The international folk and medieval music scene has produced great bands and made the genre more and more known. However, every musician has their own influences that are not necessarily directly related to the kind of music they play.

For this reason, we put together a list of some tributes paid by folk and medieval groups to renowned artists worldwide. From heavy metal legends like Black Sabbath and Metallica, to the rock stars from Red Hot Chili Peppers and The White Stripes, as well as Björk’s indie music and Mari Boine’s Sámi folk… these artists received their tributes from the Belarusian medieval artists from Stary Olsa, the French trio Skáld, the Russians from Medievallica and the Finns from the old Shamaani Duo, who would later become the folk metal band Korpiklaani.
