Danish Nordic Dark Folk band Danheim released the music video for Kala, a song from the project’s latest album, Skapanir.

Inspired by the dark and cold Scandinavian winters from the Viking period, producer Mike Olsen‘s project strikes back with its most visually appealing video so far. Of course, we cannot avoid to talk about the composition that was picked for the piece… a perfect match!

Danheim’s newly released album, Skapanir, touches on subjects such as death and new beginnings during the dark days of the Viking age. It invites the listener to experience the pagan way of life and the mythology of the Nordic peoples of old.

Norwegian actor Espen Hatleskog was both the protagonist and the editor of the music video. The beautiful scenery is a collection of shots at the Månafossen waterfall, a Viking village in Forsand, Lysefjorden, and Preikestolen in Norway, as well as the notorious Skogafoss waterfall in Iceland, one of the filming locations for the Vikings TV show.
