German Fantasy Folk band Fairytale released the music video for the song Elfenwege, which will be part of their third album Der Elfen – Thron von Thorsagon.
Elfenwege means “paths of the elves” and reflects well the visual and the themes based on fantasy adopted by the band. The title of the album, which will be released on August 30, can be translated as “The Elves – Throne of Thorsagon”.
The song talks about the elven princess Liora, who recognizes the young woman she just met as a Guardian of the Dragon, through a prophecy. She tries to convince her to accompany her to Thorsagon to face the black wizard Razar together.

Fairytale was founded in Hannover in 2013 by classical guitar player Oliver Oppermann. His first compositions mixed elements of Irish folk and folk-pop, giving a modern touch to traditional Irish songs. The first ten songs that followed this premise would become part of the first album Forest of Summer, released in 2015.
In a short time, the German label Magic Mile Music contacted the band to record a live album in 2014. However, the violinist and vocalist at the time left the band and the recordings end up not being published, with the exception of one track, which was dedicated to an environmental preservation project.
Through friends, Oliver met violinist Berit and played White Rose with her. Berit is excited about the project and recommends Laura as a singer, who was promptly accepted after the first audition.
Through friends, Oppermann met violinist Berit Coenders and played White Rose with her. Coenders was excited about the project and recommended Laura Isabel Biastoch as a singer, who was promptly accepted after the first audition.
Fairytale performed several shows in 2015 before recording Forest of Summer, which has 12 songs. The album quickly established itself on the German Folk scene, yielding numerous interviews and radio station appearances. In 2016, the band received the reinforcements of Sung-Yueh “Moon” Chou on the cello and Marvyn Korten on the drums, completing the lineup that remains up to this day.
During its trajectory, the group has already opened the shows of big names such as Blackmore’s Night, The Dublin Legends, Clannad and Corvus Corax.
