Nytt Land (Nordic/Siberian folk – Russia) released Black Raven, the first single from their upcoming album Ballads of Lost Times, part I.
Black Raven is Nytt Land’s first official Russian-language single, as well as one of the most important and famous Russian songs. It tells of a Cossack warrior dying on the battlefield.
“This song is a real reflection of the mysterious Russian soul with the deepest drama of melody and lyrics. Born on the battlefields of the early 19th century, she took a fundamental place in the cultural heritage of our people.”
Ballads of Lost Times, part I will be released in November 2020 via Cold Spring Records (UK).
