Smorodina Reka (Pagan folk) released a live video where they perform their own interpretaion of the Russian folk song Kalinka.
The original version of the song was written in 1860 by composer and folklorist Ivan Larionov. Its refrain refers to the kalinka, the diminutive form of the Russian name (kalina) for the snowball tree (Viburnum opulus).
The video was recorded during the Folk Fantasy Fest 2020 that took place at the Glastonberry pub in Moscow, Russia.

Smorodina Reka is a new band that mixes Celtic, Nordic and Russian traditions with orchestral arrangements and clean female vocals. They have also recently released another video from the same show, playing the song Vecher.
