Greek folk band Daemonia Nymphe published a video on their YouTube channel of the song Dios Astrapaiou live in Athens.

The video was recorded in the capital of Greece in February 2019. The song is part of the album Krataia Asterope, released in 2007.

Dios Astrapaiou means “Lightninger Zeus”, one of the names attributed to the greatest god of the Olympic Pantheon. A large part of the compositions of the band Daemonia Nymphe are written after Orphic and Homeric hymns, as well as Sapphic poems dedicated to the Greek gods. The instrumental part, on the other hand, is the result of ancient instruments, transporting the listener to the mythical past of Greece.

The original version of the song was recorded with the Greek composer and instrumentalist Psarantonis, known for the striking timbre of his voice and ability with the Byzantine lyra.

In addition to the duo Spyros Giasafakis (vocals and classical guitar) and Evi Stergiou (tambouras), the musicians for the performance included: Thodoris Ziarkas (Cretan lyra); Rey Yusuf (davul); Orestis Giasafakis (double bass); Victoria Couper (percussion); and Gizem Altinordu (darbuka).
