The Castlefest Collective of folk artists released Hope is the Thing With Feathers, a collaborative album in support of Castlefest.
A stellar ensemble of talented folk musicians united to support one of the largest world’s largest Pagan Folk music festivals during the pandemic. At first, they decided to record a collaborative exclusive song Hope is the Thing With Feathers, based on a quote by the American poet Emily Dickinson. Now, they have pulled out a full-length album containing 8 tracks, including the one that gave birth to the project, and which also lends its name to the release.
The initiative to compose the first song came from Tim Elfring (Pyrolysis, Imbue) and Sara Saar (SeeD, Anúna). It was recorded independently by each of the musicians and subsequently edited. Then, they decided to dedicate it to Castlefest since it was one of the events where they met each other for the first time.
Hope is the Thing With Feathers was released on CD, which you can order from Castlefest’s offical web store. It will also be available on digital platforms in late December.
