Inspired by an old Breton folk tune, German Pagan Folk band Waldkauz presents a new music video, titled Frei zu Sein (Tri Martolod), with their own reinterpretation of an old song, singing about friendship, love and freedom.

Tri Martolod, meaning “Three Sailors” in Breton, or Tri Martolod Yaouank, “Three Young Sailors,” is a cherished traditional Breton melody dating back to the 18th century in Lower Brittany. The lyrics of this folk gem recount the tale of three young sailors setting sail for Newfoundland, their journey swiftly transforming into a romantic dialogue.
