One-man Nordic Folk band Danheim released a music video, Skugga, singing about what lies for a man behind the veil of death. Danish producer, musician and trading card game designer (!), Reidar Schæfer Olsen, revealed his second 2024 single with a scenic video of Iceland landscapes.

Lyrics:

Danheim – Skugga

[verse]

[chorus]
Skal jeg følge de skjulte spor?
Gamle bånd fra glemslen rives,
I nattens favn, jeg skæbnen møder,
I nattens favn, jeg odin møder.

Translation:

Danheim – Shadow

[verse]
Odin, are you waiting for me in the shadow?
Who will I see, when Asgård I reach,
By Bifrost I’ll stand, free from my chains,
Give me hope for mead and peace.
Hope for mead and peace.

Are you waiting for me in the shadow?
Are you waiting for me in the shadow?

[chorus]
Shall I follow the hidden trails?
Old ties from oblivion torn,
In the nights embrace, destiny I face,
In the nights embrace, Odin I face.

His previous single, Vígspá, was released in February as a collaboration with Iceland vocalist Skarphéðins son. The song is about a shaman in trance by a bonfire, under the watchful eye of a raven. The duo has also recently announced a new upcoming collaboration.
