The Belgian folk/medieval band Acus Vacuum released the music video for Cernunnos, a song featured on the group’s second album, Viribus Naturae.

The title of the song is a reference to the horned deity of the Celtic pantheon, Cernunnos, the god of fertility, life, animals, abundance and the underworld.

Acus Vacuum was founded in 2012 by the brothers Nicolas (drum) and Simon (bagpipe). Nicolas would leave the band in 2014, which gained the reinforcement of Charlotte, Simon’s girlfriend, as well as other members until they reached the current line-up and became a complete band. The name of the band was designed with the intention of sounding like something serious, but with a funny idea behind it. Acus Vacuum means “the empty purses”.

The group has already released two albums: Tempus Consumens (2017) and Viribus Naturae (2018), both independently.

Members

  • Charlotte “Lywen” (medieval drum)
