KsANa (Ritual Pagan folk – Bulgaria) released Thracian Lands, the soundtrack for the fantasy movie Legends of Belintash.

The EP was released digitally and brings three tracks inspired by the Thracian resistance against the might of the Roman invaders. KsANa’s aim was to introduce the listener to the ancient Thracian culture and way of life, but also to convey the savagery of war, ending with the laments and praises for the those who fell in battle.

The songs were composed for the film Legends of Belintash, based on the fantasy novel by Bulgarian author Tanya Mir. KsANa singer and multi-instrumentalist Klavdiya Kitanova talked a bit about the film.

“It tells the story of three young explorers who are traveling to the Rhodope mountains and the Belintash plateau to find the legendary treasure of Alexander the Great. The story parallels between modern times and ancient times when Thracian tribes lived and worshiped their gods in the Belintash temple, and also tells about their wars with the Roman empire.”
