KsANa (Ritual Pagan Folk – Bulgaria) revealed a trailer for Thracian Lands, a song that will be featured on the Legends of Belintash movie soundtrack.

Legends of Belintash is based on the fantasy novel by Bulgarian author Tanya Mir. According to KsANa singer and multi-instrumentalist Klavdiya Kitanova,

“It tells the story of three young explorers who are traveling to the Rhodope mountains and the Belintash plateau to find the legendary treasure of Alexander the Great. The story parallels between modern times and ancient times when Thracian tribes lived and worshipped their gods in the Belintash temple, and also tells about their wars with the Roman empire.”

Klavdiya and her musical partner, the multi-instrumentalist Anton Yanachkov, also talked about the process of composing the songs for the soundtrack.

“Reading Tanya Mir’s novel and following the script of the film, we at KsANa let ourselves be guided by the mystery of the past and the hope for the future. The life of a people or a tribe was determined not only by the wars they waged, but also by their culture and the legacy they would leave to future generations.

Some moments of history will forever remain shrouded in secrecy.

We only want to worship her.”

KsANa is a Pagan Folk duo that plays what they define as ritual/symbolic folklore music. The name of the band means “the favourable moment” or “temporal center”.

They are inspired by European folklore, Mother Nature and an alternative lifestyle and culture to that of the masses. Through their songs, they bridge timelines between ancient history, world cultures and lands of mystical imagination, while honoring pagan pantheons and worshiping Nature.

The duo is currently recording their first album, which will be titled ORPHIC. It shall focus on the power of Mother Earth, her secrets hidden in the mountains and forests, as well as the feeling of reaching back to one’s roots.
