Tvinna, the project of Laura Fella (Faun), Fiona Rüggeberg (ex-Faun) and Fieke van den Hurk, unveiled a making-of video of The Gore.

This international band focuses on the power of the female voices. Mixing electronic and folk elements, Tvinna creates ethereal songs to help awaken the feminine force that was forced into slumber across the centuries.

In the video, the musician and producer Fieke van den Hurk (Eivør, Omnia, Cesair) gives some very interesting insights about the creation of the band’s first revealed song.

The Gore was revealed one year ago and featured Fabienne Erni (Eluveitie) as guest singer.

“‘Gore’ is another word for Blood’ and this song tells a story about how deeply we are connected. We can see our mothers, father, sisters and brothers within nature and the things we are surrounded with: earth, seasons, the ocean, storms, the trees, rain and many more. They are our kind, too. Everything we are capable to notice, but also everything we aren’t or can’t be aware of still is running through our veins.”

Here is the final version for The Gore music video!

Lyrics – The Gore

Like the scent of earth
In dawning spring,
Echos our mothers lay
Over awakening lands.

Like the scent of sea
In wrothest night,
Echos our fathers lay
Out of roaring waves.

Like the scent of moss
In the deepest wood,
Echos our sisters lay
Within rustling trees.

Like the scent of rain
On a gleaming day,
Echos our brothers lay
Over sun’s ray.

Like the scent of wind
Stroking our skin,
Echos our gore’s lay
Over awakening lands.
